Course Summary

In this course you will examine the critical and interconnected issues facing contemporary society and how the global fashion and textiles industry is responding. Key and prominent issues include shifting consumer behaviours, ethical concerns and environmental challenges.
You will learn about and examine individual and collective, local and global, dimensions of sustainability and explore a range of sustainability strategies for the fashion and textiles industry and the potential of developing and working within circular economies.
This course requires you to respond to challenging industry scenarios and includes a work integrated learning experience in which your knowledge and skills will be applied and assessed in a real or simulated workplace context and where feedback from industry and/ or community is integral to your experience.
