Course Summary

Increasingly contemporary fashion practice demands new propositions and approaches. As the cultural, political, environmental, and social and technological conditions surrounding the fashion industry rapidly change, the next generations of designers have the opportunity to reshape and contribute to the industry by re?ecting and reacting to these changes.
In this course you will explore and experiment with new propositions for materials, forms, expressions and experiences of fashion in the digital space. This course encourages critical and alternative approaches that do not ?t the classic frameworks for the study and presentation of fashion practice - including approaches related to technology and new realities.
The diverse range of approaches and methods explored in this course will lead to an equally diverse range of outcomes that can be negotiated with your course coordinator. These could include cross-disciplinary or partner strategies, or non-collection outcomes that are backed by thorough contextual review.
Please note that if you take this course for a bachelor honours program, your overall mark in this course will be one of the course marks that will be used to calculate the weighted average mark (WAM) that will determine your award level. See the WAM information web page for more information.
