Course Summary
Increasingly contemporary textile design demands new propositions and approaches. As the cultural, political, environmental, and social and technological conditions surrounding the fashion industry rapidly change, the next generations of designers have the opportunity to reshape and contribute to the industry by reflecting and reacting to these changes.
In this course you will explore and experiment with new propositions for materials, expressions and experiences of textiles in the digita space. This course encourages critical and alternative approaches that do not fit the classic frameworks for the study and presentation of textile design - including approaches related to technology and new realities .
The diverse range of approaches and methods explored in this course will lead to an equally diverse range of outcomes that can be negotiated with your course coordinator. These could include cross-disciplinary or partner strategies, or
non-collection outcomes that are backed by thorough contextual review.
