In this course you will plan, undertake, and communicate a self-directed research project of your choice connected to your emerging design practice.

This course is taught alongside your studio course and will enable you to gain a deeper understanding of your emerging design practice and how it is positioned within social and cultural contexts. You will develop and apply research skills in 'data' gathering, reflective practice, analysis, and communication of research findings appropriate to fashion and textiles design. You will also be introduced to a range of creative practice research communication approaches. This course can provide a pathway to postgraduate research.
