Course Summary

In this course, you will be given the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fashion industry and advance your knowledge in the business of fashion, while building upon your current skills and capabilities. You are able to focus on areas of specialisations in a fashion enterprise, which can range from business development, sustainable business practices, marketing, e-commerce, branding, fashion forecasting and analytics, retail, merchandising and planning, market entry strategies, and fashion supply chain management.
This internship experience may be conducted with a local, interstate, or international fashion/textiles business, including not-for-profit and social enterprises. Alternatively you may conduct a self-directed professional experience, establishing and running your own fashion enterprise, or in cooperation with others. This course is designed to provide you with an opportunity to integrate theory with practice.
This placement will be undertaken with the guidance of a workplace mentor and support of your academic supervisor. You will be assessed in a real workplace context, where feedback from industry is integral to your experience. The range of projects in which you will be involved in will be determined according to the project objectives of the fashion business/industry partner. You will evaluate and develop solutions, presentations and concepts for specific industry projects at a professional level.

- Engage and connect you with industry relevant to your current studies and/or
- Support your career development.
