Course Summary

Open innovation has become the new imperative for the 21st Century and is considered as one of the main paradigms in innovation management. Various companies worldwide have already championed open innovation principles by integrating it with the strategy.
This course will equip you with contemporary knowledge and understanding of open innovation (i.e., how to successfully manage and leverage external knowledge through various mechanisms, including crowdsourcing, corporate- start up collaboration, value networks, partnerships & ecosystems, and create sustainable business models). It will also provide you with the skills and tools necessary to create and manage strategies for open innovation by exploring best practice studies on open innovation in various industries and perspectives, various tools to integrate external knowledge and cross-industry innovation, opportunities and challenges when strategically implementing open innovation.
