Course Summary

This course is an opportunity for you to complete a second internship with an organisation you have found to augment the experience gained in the previous internship. The key focus for you in this second internship is to compare and contrast the experience from the first internship and the experience gained in the second. You will learn that all organisations within the same discipline have different cultural personalities which impacts how the business interacts with external stakeholders and units within the business (depending on the size of the business) to achieve business outcomes. This contrasting experience will help you thrive within organisations as you build agility and resilience to effectively move between workplaces.

You will be expected to work a total of 120 hours. Your weekly hours and schedule will be agreed with your internship organisation.

You will be required to choose at least one professional skill from the list of professional skills you would like to develop while in placement (in agreement with your internship organisation) as part of the Work Integrated Learning Agreement. The selected professional skill should be different from those chosen in the first internship unless there are compelling reasons for you to continue developing this skill. If unsure, you should discuss it with your WIL coordinator.
