This course is designed to act as an introduction to direct industry engagement activity and a journey of self discovery. This course offers an industry approach with tools and theory from innovation and design thinking, applied in a lean and agile way. Students in the Impact Academy are supported by industry focused and learning specialist academics and staff to develop an ability to creatively solve genuine business problems. Working in small teams students will have the chance to discuss progress with a 'live' business client and receive advice/coaching on a weekly basis. Impact Academy is delivered in the standard 12 weeks of a semester but is quite different from most university courses. You will be tested and assessed on your ability to engage in the challenge, work as part of a team and make progress towards the deliverables set by your real client/partner organisation.
