Course Summary

In this course you will develop specialist skills and knowledge in the field of community interpreting including settings such as healthcare and law.
You will extend your interpreting skills, acquired in previous courses, in dialogue, consecutive, telephone, and simultaneous (chuchotage) interpreting, and sight translation with a focus on modes of interpreting in specialised community settings.
This course aims at preparing students for the Certified Specialist Interpreter-Health & Legal credentials tested by the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters [NAATI]. You can access this external test after completing the degree.
