Course Summary

In this course, you will develop contemporary medical biotechnology knowledge with a focus on cultured animal cells and their use in translational applications. You will learn through recorded lectures, lectorials, experimental practical classes, and oral presentations where you communicate scientific ideas to peers and a professional audience. By the end of the course, you will be able to apply cell culture concepts, interpret medical biotechnology data, and use ethical, evidence-based reasoning to explain applications such as biosensors, vaccines, regenerative medicine, and therapeutics.
