Course Summary
Competing in today's global market is influenced by change, innovation and rapid time to market means organisations manage more and more complex projects and are exposed to higher risks. In this course you will study fundamental concepts of modern project management: project initiation and proposals, scope and tasks definition, budgeting and timeline development, as well as risk analyses and management. You will learn how to define the purpose, scope and overall strategy for projects and then to develop work breakdown structure, work packages, estimated time and budget. You will also learn to understand the tendering process and key sections of tendering proposal. You will gain an understanding of stakeholder and project risk management, and project performance monitoring. You will also acquire knowledge of agile project management concepts and its application in modern industry and business environments.
If you are enrolled in this course as a component of your Bachelor Honours Program, your overall mark will contribute to the calculation of the weighted average mark (WAM).
