Course Summary

The design of a modern vehicle is the result of coordinated multi-disciplinary effort in order to achieve a set of design and performance targets. The selection, specification and attainment of those targets is a key process in automotive engineering. This design and development process, alongside the analytical methods for determining the performance, handling and ride behaviour of the vehicle will be taught in this course.
The course will teach, reinforce and evaluate your knowledge regarding establishing engineering benchmarks for vehicles, subsystem design, vehicle handling and modelling methods. You will become familiar with utilising engineering software in order to analyse and develop solutions related to vehicle dynamics and design.
After this course, you will be able to reconcile competing demands inherent in the design of vehicles.
