Course Summary

With the growing trend of digitalisation, industries are experiencing a large number of implementations of technologies applicable throughout the value chain. Advanced technologies are forecasted to be equipped for delivering sustainable design, construction, and operation practices. This course is designed to provide students with knowledge and competencies to adapt to and/or implement the digital environment. The course offers awareness and practical skills on several technologies used for data acquisition and analysing, digital tools, digital manufacturing and digital modelling and visualising including laser scanning, photogrammetry, robotics and automations, drones, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), internet of thing (IoT) and enabling technologies, building information modelling (BIM) digital twin and artificial intelligence (AI) that are driving the digital transformations of contemporary practices.
