Course Summary

This course will build your knowledge of the historical, cultural and societal impacts on health for First Nation Australians. You will explore the concept of culture, cultural awareness, sensitivity and applying a cultural proficiency framework for working with First Nations people.
You will investigate a range of contemporary Australian Indigenous Health issues and the impact of society and culture on our First Nations people. Respectful and culturally appropriate communication and interactions will also be explored.
