Course Summary

This course provides an introduction to advocacy in trials in the Australian adversarial system. The aim is to introduce law students to aspects of trial advocacy and cases to assist students to practice as advocates. The course develops student legal practice skills including in examination in chief, cross examination, the role of expert witnesses, forensic evidence and closing arguments. The course also engages with legal research and analytical skills to support and develop a trial case.
