Course Summary

This course will introduce you to the notion of an alteration to mental health including impacts on First Nations people and other minority groups. Various theoretical constructs related to mental health are examined. Theories of human development and developmental stages are explored across the lifespan. You will investigate the importance of resilience and self-awareness as a future health practitioner. Mental health care delivery systems will be investigated, and you will consider the legislative protections to promote mental wellness within contemporary Australian society.
