This course enables you to apply your knowledge of therapeutics, pharmaceutics and pharmacy practice in a patient-centred setting to optimise therapeutic outcomes. You will learn through lectorials, workshops, tutorials, and group activities. You will apply your knowledge of pharmaceutics to make recommendations for patients who require dosage form modifications because of their age, disability or health condition. The course also covers the factors contributing to in-use stability of medications, the preparation of sterile products, parenteral nutrition and cytotoxic formulations, with an emphasis on regulatory governance and good compounding practice. You will also study the evidence-based practical information about the use of complementary medicines.
