Course Summary
This course explores the scientific basis for the occurrence of infectious disease by applying that knowledge to the clinical situation. It aims to provide allied health practitioners with the ability to recognise infectious disease and communicate with health care professionals about the issues pertaining to susceptibility to disease and infection control.
You will study clinical microbiology using a body systems approach, with separate modules on immunology and nutrition. The study in this course will enable you to discuss and communicate issues pertaining to infectious disease and nutrition in an informed, compassionate, and professional manner to a diverse audience.
