Course Summary

In this course you will deepen your understanding of how to lead inclusive environments for all students. You will extend your repertoire of evidence-based teaching strategies to engage all students in learning and evaluate the effectiveness of your teaching. You will learn how to differentiate your teaching to support the participation and learning of students with diverse educational requirements through strength-based approaches, as well as how the Personalised Learning and Support cycle guides individualised programming. You will also apply your knowledge of guiding educational policies and legislation to develop cohesive plans for supporting the educational experiences and outcomes of all students in your care.
This course includes a Work Integrated Learning (WIL) professional experience (PX) in which your teaching knowledge and skills will be applied and assessed in a real or simulated workplace context and where feedback from industry and/or community is integral to your experience.
In this course, you will also undertake learning activities/assessment to:
- Engage and connect you with industry relevant to your current studies
- Support your career development.
This is a designated WIL course in which you will undertake a placement of 15 days.
