Course Summary
This course is designed to assist you with the transition to the workplace and the teaching profession. You will revisit the Victorian Teaching Profession's codes of Conduct and Ethics and the principles describing professional conduct, personal conduct and professional competence expected from teachers by colleagues and the community.
You will reflect on ethical dilemmas and discuss the role of teachers in providing for the safety and wellbeing of children and young people. You will also consolidate the knowledge and experience you have gained during the degree and reflect on your role as an emerging educational professional to construct your own teaching/education philosophy.
You will develop and build your skills in applying for jobs, including developing your resume, writing applications for jobs, addressing key selection criteria, and practicing interview skills. You will also identify your continuing professional learning needs as you move into becoming a beginning teacher
