This course has an emphasis on literacy leadership and professional learning that can identify school-wide issues in teaching and develop approaches to addressing those issues. You will explore the skills and knowledge required to be an be a graduate generalist teacher who has specialized knowledge of literacy/English teaching and leadership. You will analyse and interpret school wide literacy data and use this information to effect change in a school setting. You will explore effective strategies to lead the development of whole school approaches to literacy teaching and learning, curriculum planning and professional learning.
