Course Summary

This course will challenge you to think about and experience educational settings in a way that extends the knowledge, understandings and skills developed so far in your program. You will explore the diversity of the sector, as well as unique features of provisions in school and non-school settings. In particular, emphasis will be given to educational inclusion and the ways that school and non-school education settings can support students to thrive. In completing this course, you will have a sound understanding of the concepts of educational disengagement and marginalisation and identify ways to address them.
This course includes a Work Integrated Learning (WIL) professional experience (PX) in which your knowledge and skills will be applied and assessed in a school educational context and where feedback from industry and/or community is integral to your experience. This PX is 15 days.
