This course introduces you to spatial sound composition and diffusion practices through a practical immersion using a specialist Sound Diffusion System for spatialised sound performances and the rendering of space through sound. This approach provides a practical and evaluative means of testing sonic and temporal characteristics for the purposes of designing products, environments, and experiences. Through experiments, workshops, and projects you will develop a working understanding of sound diffusion practices and the technical requirements for composing a sound based design using a multichannel system.

This course is a component of a major and minor offered by the Bachelor of Industrial Design (Honours) program.
