Course Summary

The aim of this course is to provide you with an opportunity to consolidate your understanding of cardiorespiratory sciences within the context of cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy practice. You will focus on the safe performance and application of Physiotherapy assessment and intervention techniques within a simulated cardiorespiratory setting. Case based learning will be utilised to consolidate your theoretical knowledge and the principles of Physiotherapy management integrating the other Physiotherapy core areas of practice. This course will incorporate anatomy, pathophysiology biomechanics, psychosocial and cultural dimensions of Physiotherapy practice to clinical reasoning including formulating hypotheses and providing rationales for evidence-based interventions.
