Course Summary

This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to conduct complex, creative, routine and non-routine spoken or signed communication in a LOTE, to meet the oral or signed language and communication needs of interpreting in complex settings. It involves highly developed listening and speaking skills or signing and reading skills for users of signed languages, at a high level of complexity to participate in workplace, social and cultural activities.
This unit applies to those working as interpreters in a range of fields or contexts.
