This course is designed to help students develop a strong foundation of knowledge and a global outlook essential for working in businesses operating in and/or engaging with countries in the Asian region. You will acquire a deeper understanding of the economic, sociopolitical, cultural and technological factors that influence firms' strategies, operations, and performance in the global business environment, with a particular emphasis on Asia. Throughout the course, you will apply key concepts and theories to business scenarios in the Asian context. The key themes covered in this course include exploring the economic and sociopolitical landscape of some key Asian economies influencing investment in Asia, and examining Asian cultures and business practices. The course will equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary for professional success in business, particularly in the Asian market.
