Course Summary

In this course you will explore the intricacies of child development, embracing inclusive pedagogies that cater to the diverse needs of every child. You will be introduced to fundamental frameworks such as the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF), and the Early Childhood of Australia Code of Ethics, guiding your practice as early childhood educators. Moreover, there will be an emphasis on the importance of fostering strong partnerships with families, preparing you for placements engaging children from birth to three years old, and providing support for your career development. A central approach is the recognition of play-based learning as a cornerstone of early childhood education, nurturing creativity, problem-solving skills, and social development.
