Course Summary

In this capstone course, you will engage with RMIT industry partners in a collaborative and transdisciplinary problem-solving environment to explore and constructively respond to global challenges using collaboration and design-thinking methodologies. This course will prompt you to draw on your studies thus far so that you can apply your learning to constructively respond to a challenge with global dimensions. You will expand on your skillset through facilitated collaboration and by using structured and adaptive methods that facilitate holistic problem analysis, creative ideation, ethical stakeholder engagement, and solution proposition.
You will analyse and articulate the role of difference and diversity, including with respect to disciplinary backgrounds. Building on your studies to date, you will extend your emerging capabilities by applying research and critical skills, engaging with researchers, and developing project management skills.
This is a designated WIL course in which your knowledge and skills will be applied and assessed in a real or simulated workplace context and where feedback from industry and/ or community is integral to your experience.
Where applicable, WIL agreements, schedules and relevant insurance documentation must be fully approved, and the WIL Preparation module for students and/or WIL Ready Cred must be successfully completed before the WIL activity commences.
