Course Summary
This course introduces students to core business strategy models used at the local, national, and global levels of analysis. Using critical thinking, you will problem solve how to use these strategic models, theories, and frameworks individually and in teams. Using appropriate digital tools, you will extend those models through a sustainability lens in line with the UN-SDGs. You will learn to develop and design strategic business models appropriate to address business goals, as well as regulatory and socially driven expectations.
Emphasis will be placed on understanding internal and external business environments, and how they inter-relate. Sustainable Development Goal (SDG)-focused, agile and adaptive strategic thinking will be integrated via quantitative and qualitative methods. You will also be able to articulate how Strategy can be used to increase diversity and include Indigenous perspectives.
This course is a component of the Leadership and Strategy major and minor.
