Course Summary
This course is an introduction to two streams of specialist study in BP115P26 Bachelor of Graphic Design: Illustration and Typography. In this course, you will study the fundamental principles and methods of these fields of practice. You will develop your knowledge of graphic design, with a focus on creativity and critical thinking in these areas of specialisation. You will learn essential skills relating to visual composition and hierarchy, colour, and formats. You will explore the fundamentals of illustration, including a variety of image-making techniques, and key concepts in typography, such as type classification and typographic terminology. This course will support you in deciding which areas of specialisation you wish to pursue as minors or majors.
