Course Summary

In this course, you will explore coding as a creative practice. Within this specialist domain of contemporary design, you will apply and extend the knowledge and skills you have developed in your studies to date, although no prior coding experience is required for this course. Using open-source creative coding development environments, you will learn to use code as a tool for creative expression, focussing on applications such as algorithmic design, generative art, and real-time graphics. You will create a portfolio of innovative code-driven designs, enhancing your ability to integrate digital tools into your future design practice.
This is an option course in the Typography and Illustration majors in BP115P26 Bachelor of Graphic Design.
