The Business Research Lab provides an on-campus workspace-styled environment, supported by teacher guidance, for you to collaboratively produce a purposeful report for the external partner. Working with your peers as colleagues in task specific groups and with an outcomes-focussed mindset, you will apply a range of your employability and discipline-specific skills and keep a portfolio of your consolidation and progression of these skills. Additionally, during collaborative production of the industry report, you will hone your skills in various work-based practical research and analytical techniques, time-management, use of contemporary technology, and report writing skills, as needed to address real work-related challenges. Within this work-integrated learning simulated workspace, you will unpack how emerging technology (e.g. GenAI) can be transparently and ethically used, plus determine how emerging social impact issues can influence the process (e.g. cultural inclusion).
