Course Summary
Victimology refers to the?study of victims, victimisation, and victim experiences. In this course you will learn about victims of criminal and other harms in the context of the Australian legal and support systems, as well as media and society more broadly. You will learn about the history of victim's rights movements and victim-oriented reforms,?as well as key principles informing contemporary responses to victimisation. Through a series of case studies, you will reflect on nature and impacts of victimisation, as well as client-led, trauma-informed and intersectional practice in legal and service sector responses.
