In this course, you will explore the experiences of incarcerated individuals to help design a more human-centered prison system. Using design thinking methodologies, you will analyse and empathise with the challenges of a prison process. Through problem space analysis, you will develop specific problem statements addressing the needs of various stakeholders. The course fosters creativity and collaboration, incorporating engaging lectures, creative exercises, discussions with people of lived experience of incarceration, and a prison visit. You will prototype potential solutions aimed at making the prison system more human-centered.
