This course aims to provide you with knowledge of concepts and techniques relating to the representation of architectural design. This course is primarily concerned with introducing a range of skills and techniques commonly used by designers to gather, explore & represent architectural ideas. The role of the Architecture Communications course area is to develop the conceptual and technical skills to communicate architectural design.
Architecture Communications 1 introduces you to concepts, modes and techniques on drawing, modelling and rendering for architectural design. You will be introduced to concepts of architectural representation, and to key software techniques used to digitally draw, model and render that are relevant to architectural design. Through a series of coordinated assessment tasks, you will develop a working understanding of these concepts and techniques. You will develop critical skills in the presentation of architectural ideas and will learn to use representation as a critical device.
