Course Summary

In this final capstone studio course, you will clarify and resolve your methodological and conceptual research through advanced studio investigation at a professional level. You will propose, create, and digitally document a substantial body of resolved artwork and related research that demonstrates conceptual and technical proficiency, creativity, and responsible practice, synthesising the skills and knowledge you have gained during your degree.

Individual and group tutorials, combined with your own independent research, will assist you to contextualise your work in relation to local and international contemporary art practice. You will apply your knowledge of presentation and installation strategies to safely exhibit your work and foreground and communicate meaning and concepts to the viewer. By completing the course concurrently with Fine Art Professional Practice, you will prepare for your transition to a self-managed art practice, further study, or arts-industry career.

This is a designated WIL course in the Bachelor of Fine Arts.
