Course Summary
Foundation Studio introduces you to a broad range of ways of working, knowing and creating in contemporary art. This range of knowledge, skills, materials, processes and experiences are fundamental to launching your creative practice and informing your Fine Art Major.??
You will engage in a series of themed projects based upon creation, experimentation and enquiry to develop ideas about creativity and the context and methods of art practice. You will create a range of artworks, and related support materials, enabling you to test a selection of specialisations. You will also be introduced to methods of critical reflection, ethical approaches, safe working practices, and to analyse and critique your own work and the work of others.?
This course includes Career Development Learning (CDL) where you will reflect upon your skills and knowledge and identify opportunities for further development in relation to your career goals. This is a core course in the BP201P26 Bachelor of Fine Arts.
