Course Summary

In this course, you will explore installation art as a spatial practice in which intimate or larger scale immersive experiences are created for audiences. You will be introduced to a broad range of conceptual and technical processes and skills relevant to site-specific sculpture. Working collaboratively and individually, you will create a series of experimental investigations that lead to a range of creative outcomes that critically examine and respond to material, social, cultural, environmental and historical knowledge and contexts. Projects will encourage processes of documentation and reflection to inform and extend your studio work. You will demonstrate an understanding of safe and sustainable practices.
