Course Summary

In this course you develop entrepreneurial strategies and practical tools to extend your creative practice into a sustainable commercial idea and/or cultural or social innovation project. You will learn to identify and analyse opportunities in the creative sector, from artist-run initiatives, studio start-ups and social enterprises to festivals, cultural initiatives and educational programs. The course emphasises best practice and ethical enterprise development including community engagement and sustainable practice models.
You will have the opportunity to challenge assumptions about entrepreneurship, enterprise, value, viability and audience, allowing you to create innovative, authentic and unique projects and propositions. You will develop skills in market research, planning and project management, digital marketing and professional communication and presentation. Through collaborative projects and real-world case studies, you will explore how to build and lead creative teams while maintaining artistic integrity and cultural responsibility.
