Course Summary

This studio-based course complements the Expanded Media Arts specialisation courses, supporting you to integrate and synthesise the technical skills you have acquired with a range of strategies and concepts to strengthen the scope of your emerging individual creative practice.
Working both collaboratively and individually, the course is structured around themed and self-directed projects designed to encourage you to identify and establish creative approaches and methodologies that are expansive and adaptable. You will implement trials and experiments necessary for the development of resolved outcomes, creating visual and/or sonic dialogues that communicate to audiences. A key component of your learning will be the integration of ethical, sustainable, and safe practices into your creative process.

These methodologies will inform and inspire your practice-led strategies of production and research, expanding your ability to critically reflect on, and creatively respond to contemporary concepts of creative technology and practice in art and photography
