Course Summary

This course focuses on the relationship between art and its social, political and environmental contexts. You will be introduced to a wide range of art practices responding to social and political issues, including colonialism, inequality, the ecological crisis and the Asia-Pacific context. The course aims to give you an expanded perspective on contemporary art and a critical foundation for practicing in the 21st century.
