Course Summary

In this course, you will develop an understanding of the critical and theoretical context for your art practice and/or process. You will explore a range of ideas and practices and use them to situate your practice with a focus on appropriate cultural, theoretical and historical contexts. You will also critically analyse and synthesise your knowledge of art by presenting a clear, coherent and independent exposition of your ideas and critical responses through writing and discussion. You will further develop your communication skills by presenting expert knowledge about particular cultural and historical contexts with intellectual independence.
This course includes Industry Partnered Learning (IPL) activities, where you will have the opportunity to participate in authentic industry and community engaged activities and tasks to support your professional development and career planning. These IPL experiences may include Career Development Learning (CDL), Industry Embedded Activities (IEA) such as guest speakers and Work Integrated Learning (WIL) placement and project activities.????
