This course provides a self-initiated opportunity as a final course option in your Major where you are invited to conduct an independent, in-depth, studio-based project.
You will develop a project proposal that draws on knowledge and experience of specialised methods of production and craft from your studio discipline with a key focus on advanced experimentation and investigation into material and spatial concerns.
As you work toward creating a body of artwork you will engage in research, critique, feedback, and documented reflection. You will test, analyse, and refine your approach to materiality, form, presentation and spatial strategies.
This course will allow you to make informed choices about your studio practice that you can then confidently apply to your Capstone course. As you enact your proposal and produce a set of resolved works you will further refine your maturing philosophy of art as a professional activity and process of inquiry.
This course is part of the Major: 3D Studio Practices.
