BlueSky Lab explores social, public and environmental ways of working as an extension of studio-based arts practice and the traditions of fieldwork. Working both on and off campus this course enables speculative art propositions and thinking sessions as generative and collaborative exchanges. You will experience and develop methodologies that research site specificity through creative practice. For example, you will learn to understand the whole process of knowing a site from the journey to the site, the time spent on site, and its socio-historical, cultural, environmental contexts. You will learn to approach these ideas through a series of experimental and resolved artworks.
