Course Summary

In this course, you will be introduced to core specialised skills in ceramics. You will develop strategies and methods of ceramics production to inform your art practice and build upon the skills you have developed in other courses. You will learn to experiment with and test a range of ceramics processes, methods, technologies and tools such as hand forming clay, to explore non-conventional sculptural methods to manipulate and develop form and surface qualities.??
You will engage in methods and processes that foreground safe practices and consider environmental sustainability. Projects will encourage processes of documentation and reflection to inform and extend your studio work.?
This course is part of the Major: 3D Studio Practices and Minor: Ceramics.
