Course Summary
In this course, you will focus on advancing your artistic expression in drawing within a global contemporary art context. You will identify formal, material, technological and conceptual concerns through studio investigations and align these concerns with individual studio projects. You will define, research, document and present your ideas in consultation with academic drawing staff and produce a studio work proposal.??
In this proposal, you will formulate and articulate the conceptual foundation for your practice, explain the decisions you have made regarding mediums, materials and presentation strategies, and respond to critical feedback from lecturers and peers.
Through studio investigations and expressive and reflective writing you will explore and identify influences upon your art-making processes including formal, material, technological, cultural, and conceptual concerns to further your capacity to develop cycles of work of complexity and depth and resulting in a resolved body of work.?
