Alongside?your HWSS2259 Field Education B placement, this course forms the capstone experience for the MC150P26 Master of Social Work program plan, through which your capabilities will be assessed with reference to the program learning outcomes, the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) practice standards and AASW graduate attributes.?
Through Career Development Learning (CDL), you will conduct an inquiry into the social work profession, that demonstrates your achievement of the capabilities of a social work practitioner. Drawing on social work theory and practice, including ethics and values, and your Field Education experiences, you will clearly articulate your own professional identity as a social worker.
Critically, being a good social worker also necessitates important practices that can ensure your sustainability and long-term capacity to work in the profession. This course will highlight important strategies, processes and examples, buttressed by peer-to-peer discussions with colleagues, that focus on creating a sustainable social work practice.
