Course Summary

This course will engage you in analysing and reviewing a wide array of waste management initiatives and guidelines that are being developed at both local and international levels with particular relevance to the construction industry.
You will be introduced to the basic principles, concepts and objectives of sustainable waste management and circular economy in the project-based environment. This includes the characterisation of various waste resources, different waste management methodologies, and opportunities for waste minimisation and implementing circular economy principles.
You will develop specific skills and expertise in managing and delivering a Waste Management and Circularity Plan
(WM&CP) for your project. The WM&CP will cover the design, plan and execution of waste management and circular economy strategies to achieve project objectives.
