Course Summary

In this capstone course we will explore national and global cinema industries. With a view to planning your transition to the professional workplace, we will examine the wide range of career opportunities arising from cinema studies, which include roles as film festival directors, curators, project managers, film and TV critics, distributors, venue coordinators, archivists, partnership and events officers, grants officers (for film funding bodies such as VicScreen, Screen Australia), film academics, classification board members, marketers, publicists, and so on.
You will engage and connect with local and/or global film industries relevant to your current studies. In this course, you will also undertake Career Development Learning (CDL) activities/assessment to support your career development.
This course is the capstone of Cinema Studies major offered by the Bachelor of Media program.
