Course Summary

This capstone project provides you with the opportunity to consolidate and apply knowledge and skills gained throughout the Cyber Security Operations Major. Working individually and in in teams, you will define a real-world cybersecurity problem, research solutions, and design and implement a working prototype or framework. The course emphasises critical thinking, problem-solving, project management, and professional communication. In your final assessment, you will present findings through technical documentation and formal presentations to an industry-connected panel and receive feedback from industry professionals. Ethical considerations, collaboration, and reflective practice are key components. The project prepares you for the workplace by simulating industry project environments.
This Work Integrated Learning (WIL) course is a core course in the Cyber Security Operations Major. In preparation for this course you will be required to complete WIL agreements and the WIL Ready Credential or the WIL preparation module.
